Effect of Instructional Guideline on the Physical and Social Aspect among Women with Human Papillomavirus

Abstract

Background: Human papillomavirus (HPV) considering the most common sexually transmitted infection. Which have negative effects on the women physical and social health. The aim of the study: to assess the effect of instructional guideline on the physical and social aspect among women with Human Papillomavirus. Design: A Quasi experimental study. Setting: The study was conducted at early detection unit at Ain Shams Maternity and Gynecological University Hospital. Sample: A purposive sample of 100 women diagnosed with Human Papillomavirus. Data collection tools: two tools were used in this study. Tool I: Structured interviewing questionnaire sheet and Tool II: assessment of physical and social aspect by using specific (physical and social domain) of World Health Organization Quality Of Life questionnaire BREEF. Results: the main results of this study that there are a high significant differences between studied women’s physical and social aspect pre, post one month and post three months of instructional guideline application as evidenced by the total good physical and social aspect respectively improved from none of them pre instructional guideline application to most of them and the majority post three months of instructional guideline application. Conclusion: The instructional guideline application has a significant improvement of the public health strategies and women’s health outcomes as evidenced by there are a high significant improvement of the studied women’s total good physical and social aspect pre, post one month and post three months of instruction guideline application. Recommendations: Develop and implement comprehensive instructional program to educate the women diagnosed with HPV regarding improvement of physical and social aspect. The instructional guideline should be integrated in the standard of care practice of women with HPV to ensure receive constants and supportive care.
